Barrier Status by Location and Elevation
Review the maximum water levels for your location based on NOAA's Extratropical Water Level Guidance.

1. Select a Location. Choose your coastal location from the dropdown menu.

2. Enter NAVD88 Elevation. Input your NAVD88 elevation to calculate the corresponding MSL value using the formula: MSL = NAVD88 + MSL Offset. Please review your flood certificate to obtain the NAVD88 elevation.

3. Review the Forecast:

  • MAXIMUM WATER ELEVATION: The highest forecasted water level (in feet MSL) for the selected location, based on NOAA's Extratropical Water Level Guidance.
  • FORECAST RANGE: The time period covered by the NOAA ETSS report.

4. User Responsibility: Users are responsible for their own actions, property, and how this information is used. NOAA and Tropical Defense are not responsible.
